Hello developers,
on my old computer I used the sodius dxl plugin for Eclipse. At this time, the dxl editor from sodius was free. Now not anymore.
On my new computer I still want to edit dxl files in Eclipse and can execute them by Tools->Edit Dxl by entering "#include <file path>" in the Doors module menue.
I still would like to have the keywords and syntax being highlighted in Eclipse, does anybody know how can I do that?
Regards and thanks in advance, Marco

Re: How can I highlight dxl syntax in Eclipse? Hi Marco, it looks like this is quite difficult to achieve, see https://stackoverflow.com/questions/746031/how-can-i-create-a-custom-eclipse-syntax-highlighter, and I have not seen any other Colorer for DXL for eclipse out there yet. There are syntax files for several other editors available, check e.g. http://www.smartdxl.com/content/?page_id=194.
Of course, the DXL Editor from Sodius also offers debugging functionality, you might want to consider whether it is worth the investment.

Regards Hello Mike,
thank you for your response. I have already discovered these sites, but they could not help me.

Regards, Marco The only alternative I can think of that I use sometimes is to configure Eclipse to treat DXL code like C, as they have a similar structure. But, of course, all the DXL keywords are not highlighted then. |
